Persian speakers are spread far beyond Iran - Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and very large communities in Los Angeles, Toronto and Europe - so a Persian match frequently crosses continents. Iranian users are among the most enthusiastic language-exchange partners on the platform and the most likely to want a long conversation rather than a quick one.

People here tend to end up talking about poetry and music, film, study and emigration and food - not because anyone plans it, but because those are the subjects a stranger can pick up without context. If you want to steer somewhere else, just ask a question; on a voice call it is far easier to change the subject than it is in text.

The best time to find someone in Iran

Iran runs on UTC+3:30 (IRST), and its users are most active around 10pm – 2am IRST. If you are matching from another continent, that window is what to aim for - outside it you will still connect, just to a smaller pool and often to Iranians living abroad rather than at home.
