Is TalkLive Safe? How Our Anonymous Voice Chat Actually Works

How TalkLive handles voice traffic
TalkLive calls use encrypted WebRTC and a production TURN relay for connectivity. TalkLive does not record, listen to or store voice audio. The other participant still controls their own device and can record what they hear, so do not share secrets or identifying details.
Anonymous by default
You can use TalkLive without creating an account. No name, no email, no phone number. The person you talk to sees a display name and a country flag - nothing else. Signing up (optional) only exists so you can keep friends and settings across devices.
Browsers enforce microphone permission on secure origins, so TalkLive runs on HTTPS everywhere, and your mic is only live during a call - mute is one tap and hangs up entirely with another.
What happens to bad actors
Every user can report a call. Reports are reviewed with full context, and bans apply to both the device and the IP address - a banned user cannot reconnect until the ban expires. Accumulate three reports and you are automatically banned while a human reviews. The platform is 18+ and moderation activity is logged and audited.
What we do keep, honestly
TalkLive processes operational data such as aggregate usage, connection diagnostics, country-level statistics and reports with context needed to respond. Typed chats and related context may be retained for a limited rolling period as disclosed in the Privacy Policy. TalkLive does not record or store voice audio.
